Awards

Overall Guidelines

CSCTR offer awards for abstract submissions, including trainee awards to junior faculty (Instructor or Assistant Professor level). The awards recognize outstanding scientific achievement in basic or applied sciences.

Eligibly is based on the following:

  • Recipient must be a member in good standing of either CSCTR or AFMR.
  • Award submissions only accepted until abstract deadline.
  • Only one award is given to the eligible presenting author. If presenting author qualifies for more than one award, highest award value will be given.
  • Awardee must preregister for the meeting.
  • Attend both days of the meeting.
  • Present abstract in person to receive award and for it to be printed in the Journal of Investigative Medicine.
  • When awarded, submit W-9 or W-8BEN via fax, mail, or upload to the CSCTR OneDrive.  Email is not secure.
  • CSCTR checks will be mailed within thirty (30) days after the close of the annual meeting,or signed tax form is received. Award will be forfeited if signed tax form is not received by CSCTR prior to November 1, 2024.

Award Application Deadline: January 22, 2025

Award Notification: February 12-19, 2025

Most awards require additional supporting materials (e.g., letters of nomination, curriculum vitae). Please read all award criteria carefully.

Can I apply for more than one award? Yes, during the abstract submission process you will be asked for which awards you are eligible. You may select all awards for which you are eligible. However, of the awards for which you are eligible, and you selected in the abstract submission form, only one award will be offered. You are unable to apply for an award after the abstract submission closes.
