ABSTRACT AND INFORMATIVE CASE REPORT REVIEW

All abstracts and informative case reports submitted will be reviewed and graded in a blinded fashion by a panel of experts in the field of the submission. The review process takes approximately 2-3 weeks; acceptance notification will be mailed as soon as the review process is complete.

ORAL ABSTRACTS

Each year the Combined Annual Meeting committee selects three of the highest ranking abstracts from all submitted to provide oral presentations as well as display their posters. The three presenters will receive honoraria in the amount of $2,500 each. All abstracts will be considered for the Oral Abstract Session. If you DO NOT want to be considered for an oral presentation, please indicate so on the abstract submission form. All Oral Abstract winners will be expected to be present for the entire meeting.

ABSTRACT AND INFORMATIVE CASE REPORT CATEGORIES

Abstracts submitted to the 2013 Combined Annual Meeting of CSCTR/MWAFMR must fit into one of the following categories:

Cardiology/Cardiovascular Disease
Endocrinology/Metabolism
Gastroenterology/Clinical Nutrition
Genetic & Molecular Medicine
Geriatrics
Epidemiology/ Health Outcomes/ Quality Improvement/ Bio-informatics
Hematology and Oncology
Infectious Disease
Nephrology
Pediatrics
Pulmonary/Critical Care
Rheumatology/Immunology/Allergy

You may submit as many abstracts as you like; however only one abstract will be considered for any award.

ABSTRACT AND INFORMATIVE CASE REPORT LENGTH

There is a limit of 3800 characters (including spaces) for the text of your abstract or informative case report submissions. The character limit does not include authors, institutions, or title. The character limit does however include tables.

ABSTRACT AND INFORMATIVE CASE REPORT SUBMISSION FEE

A non-refundable fee will be charged to cover the costs of processing, review and/or publication. You must include a separate payment with each abstract or informative case report submitted. You will not be able to submit an abstract or informative case report without entering your appropriate payment information. After entering your information a page will appear that you will print as your receipt. The fee schedule is as follows:

Early submission deadline: Monday, December 31, 2012 (11:59pm CST)

AUTHOR ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT

By submitting an abstract or informative case report to the 2013 Combined Annual Meeting, you agree that at least one author must attend the meeting if the abstract or informative case report is accepted. Authors must be available to present on the date and time assigned by the Combined Annual Meeting committee. Authors will be notified of presentation times at the time of or shortly after notification of acceptance and are expected to make appropriate travel arrangements to ensure that at least one author is present.
